March Madness begins tonight for the Marquette men.
The sixth-seeded Golden Eagles will play number-11 Washington at 6:20 in San Jose in the first round of the N.C.A.A. East Regional. Among other things, Marquette is looking for a big night from sophomore guard Darius Johnson-Odom. He’s been inconsistent, as evidenced by his last two games. Johnson-Odom had career highs of 24 points and five three-pointers in the Eagles’ win over Villanova last week in the Big East Tournament. But a day later, he only had four points as he made just one-of-eight shots from the floor as Marquette fell to Georgetown. Johnson-Odom said he was more concerned about feeding his teammates the ball – and he didn’t want to force any bad shots. Johnson-Odom averages almost 13 points a game, the third-highest on the Marquette team. He also leads the Eagles in three-pointers with 72.
Marquette comes in a 22-and-11. Washington is 24-and-9. Wisconsin plays its first-round game tomorrow afternoon against Wofford.

Fort Vancouver Run
Sunday March 28th, 2010 marks the second annual Fort Vancouver Run!
Races, presented by Fred Meyer, include a 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Walk/Run and Fred Meyer Kids “Fun” Run & Kids 1K!
Not only fun for the whole family to attend but also gorgeous Vancouver, Washingtonscenery as you run along the amazing Columbia River. The run is also host to a great cause as Energy Events will match every nonperishable food item that you bring with you to the race. The items will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank.

While gas prices have certainly improved some over the past months, it never huts to save as much as possible when you can. Here are a few tips that you may find helpful in saving at the pump. - Have cruise control? Use it. It does actually help get you savings.

Great Wolf Lodge
Wanting to escape the rain and feel like you’re having some summer fun with your kids! 3 words, Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA!! What a wonderful family oriented, super fun place. I took my family there right before Christmas, My husband and I rode all the slides with the kids but of course we wore out way before them, they went until the pool closed. After that, the fun doesn’t end then they have so many activities for kids of all ages..teen dances, arcades, treasure hunts, story time and on and on. As my husband and I sat by the fireplace in the grand lobby the kids ran all over having a blast until almost midnight! Thank goodness for the Starbucks in the lobby. Everything you need is right in the lodge, 2 different restaurants, shopping, workout area and lots of places to grab a book and relax or watch the pool fun through the gigantic window..oh did I mention Starbucks …. The pool area is full of activities for small children to us big children including an indoor/outdoor hot tub!. The temperature is wonderful inside the pool in fact wear shorts if you plan to just watch the kids it is warm. We had so much fun and forgot about the grey rainy days outside the doors. Highly Recommended!
